Once the first label is in place you can drag and copy the label across to the right position. Single label added to layout template – RCL8 As you get close to the position the smart guides will appear to guide you into positioning your design. Now paste the single label design on to the template and move it into position as the first, top left label. (Our layout templates contain two layers 1) a locked layer containing the label guides and 2) a layer to place your design on). Finally check that “Snap to Guides” and “Smart Guides” are activated/selected (View -> Grids and Guides) In the layout template first check you have the correct layer selected for the design, next check the “show frame edges” is activated/selected (View -> Extras -> Show Frame Edges). Now your label design is complete you can copy it and open the layout template. Step 2 – Add the single label to the layout template This will help you position your label on the print template later.įinally, select all the elements of the design and group them together, ready for copying and pasting into the layout template.
